My tableside magic begins at 6:00 and runs until 8:30. Greg usually begins playing around 7:30 or 8:00 and goes "until late". I've worked with a lot of musicians in my years as an entertainer, and I've got to say that Greg doesn't take a back seat to any of them. He has a wide range of music, and his talent, both vocally and on guitar, is truly top notch, with a style all his own.
And the food at New Amsterdam is unbelievably good. The menu is unusually eclectic, and everything I've had is truly delicious. A couple weeks back I tried the lobster etouffee, and OMG!!! it's to die for! One of the best Cajun/Creole dishes I've had anywhere, EVER! I'm a big food lover, and a pretty decent gourmet cook in my own right, and in my opinion the food at New Amsterdam is some of the best in the Peoria area.
The entertainment is free to dining and bar customers, the food is absolutely outstanding, and the view of the river is breathtaking. My unforgettable, mind blowing magic, the captivating music of Greg Williams, great food, great atmosphere--not to mention one of the largest selections of beer anywhere in the area--I may be biased, but I really believe this by far the best overall dining and entertainment experience in central Illinois.
